Discord, the messaging platform, has stated that it is collaborating with United States law enforcement in the investigation of the unauthorized release of classified Pentagon documents. According to Reuters, this was reported by Ukrinform. The company released a statement saying that they are working with law enforcement officials in relation to the breach of classified material. However, as the investigation is ongoing, they are unable to provide any further comments on the matter at this time.

The agency reported that the statement was issued amidst ongoing inquiries regarding the source of the classified documents' leak, their authenticity, and the dependability of the intelligence evaluations presented therein.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that the Pentagon was conducting an investigation into leaked documents, purportedly classified, which were available on social media. These documents related to the plans of the U.S. and NATO regarding Ukraine's Armed Forces' counteroffensive. Recently, a team of Bellingcat investigators located the original sources of these leaked documents, which were initially discovered on Discord servers in January 2023.

According to Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, the supposed disclosure of Ukraine's counteroffensive plans through leaked documents is a Russian deception. The U.S. Department of Justice has initiated an inquiry into the breach of security.
